General Swap Rule Recommendations:
Create a unique currency token - Best if made from a recycled material, a slip of paper or cardboard with a unique set of initials or ink stamp would be fine.
Create a list of items that can be accepted and how many tokens would be provided for each type, and how much these items would be generally worth. People donating can use their tokens to buy like items.
Have a plan for how excess materials would be donated and/or disposed of. Get a commitment from the town, an organization, or a rep at a place of donation to haul away or pay for disposal. You want to estimate the cost per ton of disposal or the likelihood that donations will be accepted and at what volume.
Create a list of items that would not be accepted like hazardous or broken materials and ensure that this is policed consistently.
