Spinache and Ham Quiche
This is easy to make and can be made far healthier than its normal form.
Recipe:
1 1/4 cups half and half
6 large eggs or Egg beaters equivalent(Healthier and tastes just as good in our opinion)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped red or green pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup shredded motzarella and 1/4 cup shredded parmesean ( or 1 1/4 motzarella)
homemade or pre-made pie crust
1 cup chopped fresh spinach or frozen well strained.
1/2 finely chopped ham steak
steps:
step 1: butter 2 9 inch pie plates and place a crust in each. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Cook frozen spinach or chop fresh spinach.
step 2: chop and saute bell pepper and onions until clear then add ham and spinach and saute for 5 min.
step 3: mix eggs, cream, cheese, salt, pepper and sauteed ingredients.
stp 4: pour over pre-cooked pie crust and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
